TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBLEM Some modern HDMI devices are displaying no picture and no sound
when connected to the TV via HDMI.
CAUSE Upon investigate it has been found that 2 possible issues can cause this problem:
1. Supplied HDMI cable – HDMI cables have been pinned out and discovered that they are not fully wired and / or wired incorrectly
2. The device is not backwards compatible with the HDMI specification
SOLUTION
1. Try a different and known working HDMI cable
2. Add a HDMI device in the middle of the connection that outputs a fully compatible HDMI signal.
Example 1 – A home cinema amplifier
Example 2 – A HDMI splitter
