NOTE THE MAIN BOARD OR SYSTEM
CONTROLLER (IC502) REPLACING
When the complete MAIN board or system controller (IC502) is replaced, the destination setting is necessary.
Note: Remote commander is necessary.

Be sure to solder the SL501 on the MAIN board before doing the destination setting.

2. Destination Setting
Set destination according to the procedure below.
2-1. Setting the Destination Code
1. In the state of source off (Home screen is displayed), enter the destination setting mode by pressing the buttons in order of the [4] > [5] > [6] on the remote commander (press only the [6] button for two seconds).
2. The following screen is displayed and the destination setting mode becomes effective.
(Displayed characters/values in the following figure are example)
Note: Refer to following “Destination Code” for operation method.
Set destination according to the procedure below.

1. In the state of source off (Home screen is displayed), enter the destination setting mode by pressing the buttons in order of the [4] > [5] > [6] on the remote commander (press only the [6] button for two seconds).
2. The following screen is displayed and the destination setting mode becomes effective.

Note: Refer to following “Destination Code” for operation method.
3. The resetting operation is executed by
pressing the [OFF] button on the remote commander the setting ends, and the
unit returns to the normal condition.

1. Press the [ UP] or [ DOWN ] button, and select the alphanumeric character of “0 to F”.
2. The digit advances by pressing the [ RIGHT ] button.
The digit returns by pressing the [LEFT ] button.
3. The setting is completed by pressing the [ENTER] button, and the initialization operation is done.

3. Confirmation After
Destination Setting
Execute the following operation after completing the destination setting, and
confirm a correct destination was set.
Destination setting checking method:
1. In the state of source off (Home screen is displayed), enter the test mode by pressing the buttons in order of the [4] > [5] > [0] on the remote commander (press only the [0] button for two seconds).
2. The following screen is displayed and confirm that item of the destination has been rewritten correctly. (Displayed characters/values in the following figure are example)

NOTE FOR FLEXIBLE BOARD OF THE
OPTICAL PICK-UP
When connecting or disconnecting the flexible board of the optical pick-up to or from the CN2 of the SERVO board, follow the procedure given below.

Note: When soldering the short lands, solder within 5 seconds at the
temperature of soldering iron below 300°C.
Disconnection:
1. Solder two shortland.
2. Disconnect the flexible board from the CN2 of the SERVO board.
Connection:
1. Connect the flexible board to the CN2 of the SERVO board.
2. Unsolder two shortland.
Disconnection:
1. Solder two shortland.
2. Disconnect the flexible board from the CN2 of the SERVO board.
Connection:
1. Connect the flexible board to the CN2 of the SERVO board.
2. Unsolder two shortland.
CLEANING THE CONNECTORS
The unit may not function properly if the connectors between the unit and the front panel are not clean. In order to prevent this, detach the front panel and clean the connectors with a cotton swab. Do not apply too much force. Otherwise, the connectors may be damaged.

Notes
For safety, turn off the ignition before cleaning the connectors, and remove the key from the ignition switch.
Never touch the connectors directly with your fingers or with any metal device.

If any of the following parts was replaced, execute the “Flicker Adjustment” as mentioned below.

# Input signal for AUX2 IN jack (NTSC and PAL white 40% raster)
FLICKER ADJUSTMENT
1. Input the NTSC white 40% raster signal from AUX2 IN jack on the rear side of main unit.
2. In the state of source off (Home screen is displayed), pressing the buttons in order of the [4] > [5] > [7] (press only the [7] button for two seconds) button on the remote commander.
If any of the following parts was replaced, execute the “Flicker Adjustment” as mentioned below.

FLICKER ADJUSTMENT
1. Input the NTSC white 40% raster signal from AUX2 IN jack on the rear side of main unit.
2. In the state of source off (Home screen is displayed), pressing the buttons in order of the [4] > [5] > [7] (press only the [7] button for two seconds) button on the remote commander.
3. Press the [1] button on the remote
commander, change to the NTSC adjustment screen.
Note 1: The display of the adjustment screen disappears, when there is
no operation of a remote commander for five seconds. Please touch a screen, in
order to issue the adjustment display again.
The minimum value of NTSC adjustment value is displayed.
The adjustable range is from “3e90140” to “3e90310” (Hexadecimal).
4. Press the [UP] or [DOWN] buttons on the remote commander, adjust so that the flicker becomes minimum.
5. Input the PAL white 40% raster signal from AUX2 IN jack on the rear side of main unit.
The minimum value of NTSC adjustment value is displayed.
The adjustable range is from “3e90140” to “3e90310” (Hexadecimal).
4. Press the [UP] or [DOWN] buttons on the remote commander, adjust so that the flicker becomes minimum.
5. Input the PAL white 40% raster signal from AUX2 IN jack on the rear side of main unit.
6. Press the [LEFT] or [RIGHT] buttons on
the remote commander, change to the PAL adjustment screen.
The minimum value of PAL adjustment value
is displayed.
The adjustable range is from “4b00140” to “4b00310” (Hexadecimal).
7. Press the [UP] or [DOWN] buttons on the remote commander, adjust so that the flicker becomes minimum.
8. When the adjustment of both NTSC and PAL finished, press the [ENTER] button on the remote commander. The message “Data saved successfully” appears on the screen.
(Display values in the following figure are example)

Note 2: When only one of the two of NTSC or PAL adjusted and saves, the
NTSC or PAL which is not adjusted is saved by the minimum value of an
adjustable range.
